This particular packaging is commonly used by Apple for all there smartphone products and the packaging for them. The colours used for this packaging are very simply as it is mainly a white cuboid with other design pieces added over it or structured into the white design. The packaging design represents the smartphone that Apple have created as it is shown as the main visual piece on the packaging on the top of the box. The texture seen in the design looks like a matte, smooth feeling as the materials used when creating the packaging for this product are mainly bio-based products such as fibreboard, paper, polystyrene and some plastics. The product out come could affect the customers in many different ways due to the packaging being environmentally friendly which may appeal heavily to a select group of consumers. On the other hand, some people may not like this feature of the packaging as some people may link it to a fragile online society were everything has to be perfect and catered towards a specific amount of people and not for everyone in a fair manor.
Some other examples of smartphone packaging could be from Samsung who have recently started to change the design of their packaging for smartphones, they are doing this to ditch a large use of plastic during the packaging for their products when instead they’re going to be using more sustainable materials to create a more environmentally friendly workplace for the company and it’s products and packaging to try and reduce the harm they cause when they’re being made, they are not the only company to try enhance the eco-friendly label for their business as Apple is seen doing it earlier on in this blog post. This packaging above is the most recent smartphone package design Samsung used for its most recent line up of phones, however in 2019 the new packaging design will be released widely across their products from tablets, accessories and phones in early, to mid 2019.
